Description

The boatmen pulled the ships against the flow of the streams.
They tied themselves to ropes and pulled at the shores of Yangtze,
of Volga, of Rhine, improvising lyrics and rhythmic tunes.

Οι βαρκάρηδες κινούσαν τα πλοία, αντίθετα της ροής των πλωτών ποταμών.
Τραβώντας από τις όχθες του Γιανγκτσέ, του Βόλγα, του Ρήνου,
δεμένοι με σχοινιά, έπλεκαν στίχους και ρυθμικούς σκοπούς.
