Description
Sue Childers was from Flint, Mi and my father Jim Minor produced this record for Les Emory's music company whom Minor worked for in 1955. This is a Christmas pop song and it was the first major recording to come out of Flint. Minor produced the artists for the Western Chuck Wagon label and this Modern Pop Hit recordings label, both owned by Les, but ran by Minor. Minor's initials are the record number and his initials are in the dead wax. Sue did one more recording for Minor, a country record in 1956, but she turned in her contract and said she didnt like country music. I have that lost recording on youtube. Sue changed her name and in 1964 released a jazz album under Sue Childs titled Meet Sue Childs. Both songs on this record were written by Bob Cloud and Katherine Harwood. Sue Childs went on to be a female vocalist for the Frank Sinatra, Jr. band in the 1960s.
