Let's face it, sometimes an outtake is better than the take that went perfectly!

Regular watchers of this channel will remember Maisy from previous videos, but this is Woofy's debut appearance, and he was intent on making it memorable. I have no doubt you'll see these two again in the future (but maybe I'll make sure to film after we have had a very long walk). Anyway, I hope you enjoy Woofy's dance moves in the background because he certainly enjoyed doing them.

Meanwhile, here's a funny story about the song "Side by Side":

For no particular reason other than feeling silly, when I was teaching this song, I told the five-year-olds class that I was going to sing a song and they weren't allowed to learn it, and they definitely shouldn't sing it with me. Well, of course, they immediately fell upon the task of learning the piece with great gusto, and gleefully demonstrated that they had learned every word and every note. But what really made me laugh was that the next day they demanded that I continue to tell them that they weren't allowed to sing! Moreover, the joke has continued for months and expanded into an elaborate shtick. So now, on a daily basis, someone will run up to me and say, "I'm going to sing and you can't stop me!" and then wander away singing at the top of their lungs. Suffice it to say, I laugh every time.
