Description
This piece begins with an improvisatory jazz passage attaca immediately following the 3rd prelude and in its style. But after a single measure, the theme appears in a completely different mode and in 20th century classical style. It reappears frequently in various registers of the piano, coming back in something like rondo form following a pair of heavily-syncopated interludes and at times accompanied by a flowing cantabile line in the mid-range..
This piece required the use of a third stave, and for some reason, MuseScore only connected two of the staves with bar lines. I apologize for the visual incongruity for those who take note of such things.
