Affectionately known as "Rounder 0044", the influential 1975 album brought J.D. Crowe and longtime bassist Bobby Slone together with three young players who would go on to become bluegrass legends: Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, and Ricky Skaggs.

Newly remastered from the original analog tapes, the reissue features two rare bonus tracks making their digital debut: “Why Don’t You Tell Me So” (an original session outtake) and an alternate take of “Cryin’ Holy” featuring Emmylou Harris. The CD edition also includes the original 1975 liner notes by John Hartford and Jack Tottle, plus a retrospective essay by Rounder co-founder Bill Nowlin.
