The Irish Rovers reached #1 on the charts in Canada in 1981 with "Wasn't That A Party" which their friend, Tom Paxton wrote after he took part in one of the band's famous post-show parties. Their 1980 album "Wasn't That A Party" was produced by award winning producer, Jack Richardson. Song written by Tom Paxton (United Artists)
Telegraph Journal: ""As you get older, the parties are not quite as crazy," says George, "but the parties are still there."
Pausing for a moment, he laughs. "It's actually some of you Maritimers, like the Irish Descendants and Great Big Sea that have been a terrible influence on us in terms of parties."
This is a Behind The Scenes video taken while The Irish Rovers were filming their DVD - Home In Ireland.
