Description

British singer Helen Shapiro became the youngest female chart topper in the UK during the early 1960s, with her first four single releases landing in the top three of the UK Pop charts. In 1964, she did an album of cover versions, which included this awesome remake of Dionne Warwick's classic hit, "Walk On By." Although Helen's version was never released as a single, it was eventually included in some of her Greatest Hits compilations, as well as various compilations of Burt Bacharach hits. My parents liked both Dionne's original version and this one, as I would frequently hear them being played while growing up--Ivor Raymonde's lush arrangements on this version are just lovely.
