This Bee Gees hit entitled "To Love Somebody" is a song written by Barry and Robin Gibb from their album "Bee Gees' 1st" released in 1967 as their second single. It ranked no. 94 on NME magazine's "100 Best Track of the 60s". It reached no. 20 in the us and also reached top 20 in Canada.

Several artists recorded the song including Michael Bolton, Michael Buble and Rod Stewart.

In an interview with Barry, he was asked "of all the songs that he had written, which one would you choose?" Barry replied"To Love Somebody", because i has a clear emotional message.
